We think of Tala Al-Shoufi

Tala took the key to the ancient door, smiled, covered it with inkwell and wrote on the basalt wall: Sweida’s path to glory with ink, science and art, not with the gunpowder and bullets of savages. Well done, beautiful one. Today I called no one who didn’t congratulate me, and they said: Congratulations, I’m from Tala Al-Shoufi’s class.
The story of Tala Al-Shoufi: A 14-year-old girl from the city of Sweida, an outstanding student academically and artistically, she used to write poetry and compose songs, and believed in knowledge, love, and peace and spread them in her songs and through her musical performance, she believed in peace, a happy life, and children’s rights, but the treacherous bullet that took Tala, to destroy her dreams and her life, it was the torch that lit the hearts of the children of Sweida to all be Tala with her art, excellence, dreams, and love, they swore to carry her dreams with them everywhere. Peace be upon Tala’s pure soul
